This may be of interest to people with or considering a Ubiquiti wireless system. 

New functionality is Ubiquiti Identity which enables one click WiFi authentication via 3rd party IdP such as Google Workspace or Entra ID. 

No hidden cost once you have a compatible Ubiquiti router (Dream Machine Pro @ €500).

It really is quite impressive. Download the Identity app. When admin enables an account invite is sent by email - click on link, app opens up and join network. 

Admin has visibility of connected clients, can revoke access etc. No more shared passwords or additional passwords. 

I haven't looked at mass deployment options yet but even as it is, it's good.

For mobile devices if you have MDM enforced you can push out the app the first time they sign on.

If you don't have MDM enforced then then you instruct them to download the Identity app - there is a windows/mac version too for laptops. 

Then once they establish their identity it will connect them to the wifi.

This functionality is new so I expect more features on the admin side will evolve in due course. I haven't figured a way to bulk assign/invite a batch of users.

Further to my initial post - UniFi will pull in all your Groups from Workspace. So you can then Assign One Touch Wifi to an entire group quickly and easily.

You are also able to restrict the scope of users via Org Units
