Recently the drive belt on my Grizzly G0490 8” jointer became damaged when it rubbed the edge of the hole that it goes through from the motor to the cut head.
I have adjusted the alignment so that should not happen again but would like to have a replacement belt on hand.
However, I am unable to identify the replacement belt I need. The belt has multiple v-groves in it that sit in matching v-groves on the pullies. The Grizzly parts list excludes the motor and drive belt.
How do I identify the proper replacement belt for my jointer?
What am I missing?
Thanks
For the Grizzly G0490 8” Jointer , the drive belt is: • Grizzly part number: P0490048 • Belt type: V-belt, A-section • Size: A48 (½” wide × 50” outside length) This is the belt that runs from the motor to the cutterhead pulley.
If you’re buying locally instead of from Grizzly, ask for an A48 V-belt and you’ll be set.
