Hi,

Cellpack sounds to be a great tools for biologists.
Could you tell me more about the next development of your program.
I am particularly interested to know whether, in the short term, it will be possible for us to use novel 'recipes" and not only the one which are available. I am mostly interested in importing a couple of PDB structure and trying to organise them within a defined membranous structure.

Thank you and happy new year.
Regards,

Bogdan

Hi Bogdan,
Let me know what system you will prefer to use to setup and view your models and I can try to walk you through the steps needed to prepare a recipe.  In general, we will modify an existing recipe to use a new surface that represents your membrane and will generate a new ingredient for each of the PDB files you want to use.  We are working on an easy online interface, but currently you are limited to running cellPACK from within a uPy supported 3D sofware package (we recommend Cinema 4D), or running it as a standalone Python script and then viewing the results with uPy or Chimera.
Cheers,
Graham
