Hello,
I am working on a literature review where I have used a cbioportal acute myeloid leukemia TCGA pan-cancer atlas dataset to do some analysis on R and create my own graph to put in my manuscript. Should I be citing the source of the data, if yes then how, as the dataset is a combined one and has multiple publications linked to it. Or should I be citing cbioportal.

Thanks,
Baikunth

Hi,

You can find guidelines on how to acknowledged the use of TCGA data here. In this case, you can optionally also cite the original TCGA AML manuscript.

And please also cite the cBioPortal (manuscripts are listed here) as the source of the data you used.

Thanks.
Niki.
