Asking the normal gene expression data from TCGA

My name is Nguyen Hoang Anh Tuan. I am a PhD student at Hanyang University. I want to compare the gene expression between normal and cancer samples. However, as I read on cBioportal website, you do not have the normal sample to download. Could you please show me where to download the TCGA normal sample data? Because I found everywhere but I can not identify the TCGA normal sample.

Hi Nguyen,

A good place too look would be the NCI Genomic Data Commons Portal:

https://portal.gdc.cancer.gov/

Normal samples have a 10-19 sample type code in the barcode:

https://docs.gdc.cancer.gov/Encyclopedia/pages/TCGA_Barcode/
