I'm trying to access the matched normal samples used to filter out somatic variants (MSK-IMPACT). When I use cBioPortalData there are fields for the matched normal and normal alleles, but all the fields are empty. When I look on the API I can see the matched samples exist. How can access them via the API or cBioDataPack?

Thank you!

Qierra

Hi Qierra,

Thanks for reaching out!

The matched normal status can be pulled from the SOMATIC_STATUS clinical sample attribute. That field indicates whether a sample was sequenced with matched normal information for somatic variant filtering.

best,
Baby Anusha.
