Hi all,

I am using your amazing parcellation work. I would like to know how you train the Gaussian classifer surface atlas of Schaefer 2018. For example, what reference data used to train atlas and which freesurfer version applied for it (I guess 5.3).

Best,
Yunhong

Hi Yunhong,

Schaefer on the Genomics Superstruct Project. I believe I don't remember whether it's FreeSurfer 4.5 or 5.3. I assume it does not matter much.

p.s. Note the approach is not a "Gaussian classifier". It's neither Gaussian nor a supervised classifier (since there's no labeled data).

Regards,
Thomas

Hi Yunhong, Oh! I see. Yes, you are right we did create a Gaussian classifier at some point. I stand corrected.

Hi Aihuiping, can you advise?

Thanks,
Thomas

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for your reply!

I viewed the web from freesurfer (SurfaceLabelAtlas - Free Surfer Wiki (harvard.edu)) of how to genenrate gcs file. It seems like to use function mris_ca_train, which needs reference subject data. So I would like to know which dataset you all used to train the cortical parcellation atlas.

Best,
Yunhong
