My alarm buzzer has failed, and I’m quite sure it is the alarm itself and not the sending unit. I tried to pull info from the old unit but several numbers/letters are faded/obscured. If anyone else has replaced the alarm and knows the unit to order to fit in our dashboard faceplate, I would appreciate the info. From what I can see, it looks like:
Inter___ BRP45 -CD. Thanks very much.

Hi Dave,
If the engine is off and you turn the key on does the oil pressure light come on? If that comes on and the buzzer doesn’t buzz then it could be the buzzer. The schematic shows some isolation diodes that drive the buzzer and it’s possible one of them is bad but unlikely.

Thanks very much, Bill. My recollection is that the answer is “yes”, but I will double check. The alarm started sounding like a wounded duck a few times before it went silent, making me suspect the alarm itself.

Best, Dave
