Francoise how is your recovery coming along? I have heard that Shingles can be really nasty.

I’m writing because although I am slowly recovering and have daily caregivers, I find myself feeling lonely for the first time in my life. I would welcome visitors and I’m mobile so I could even meet people to go to a museum, a park, or an event. After 21 years living here many of my friends have moved back to the States or have died or are having their own health issues..

Any suggestions will be welcomed as well as a shout out to the Care Team. I am on a liquid diet but could eat a good flan or ice cream (which I’ve been having too much of).

HI Francoise/Care Team,    On April 22 I made an emergency medical trip to Denver.  First surgery was April 29.  I have been in a Skilled Nursing facility almost a month receiving antibiotics each 8 hours via I Vs.  On Friday I hope to be released to stay at my son's home wherecI will receive home health care.  The infection in my left leg was aggressive and a blood clot found.  In 5 or 6 weeks I Hopefully will be infection-free and a second surgery will he scheduled for another knee replacement.  As things appear now, I should be back in SM mid to late August

....and ready to serve on the Care Team again.  Que le vacation been, Kathleen Bennett

So sorry Kathleen!

This sounds nasty… and I am glad you were able to take care of it in the US…(Infection and blood clot!) Thinking of you, and wishing you all the best! Know you will make a good recovery from the knee surgery.  We will think of you and look forward to your return here!
