Hi guys,

I thought this might be of general interest.

As you may already know, NOAA is predicting that the current "ENSO-neutral" conditions will persist through winter, and into spring 2020. ("ENSO-neutral" means neither El Niño nor La Niña will form in the SE Pacific).

This article is a good overview with graphics of the large patterns that set up, and how they tend to manifest across North America.

For us in NM, this bodes well for observing opportunities in the coming months, better than last winter.

Cheers,
  John
