PLease, help. How to deploy if svn not accessible from production machine?

  • Ruby 2.1.2
  • Capistrano 3
  • Rake 10.3.2 / Rails 4.1.4
Platform:
  • Working on linux ubuntu
  • Deploying to linux debian

Hello. 

I try to deploy from local machine to production server. But from production machine svn server not accessible (svn server in local area)
So, how to deploy if svn not accessible from production machine?

You can't, sorry. Apparently we need to make the documentation clearer, as that is listed as a requirement.

There are some "copy" strategies which work based on tarballs being uploaded and decompressed server-side, but that's not the way we prefer to push people, and it's certainly more work and less robust than the default.

Is there any way  write your a task that will prepare the source code archive, upload it to your server and unzip it there?
