Hello,
I am having trouble getting my old Camelot database set-up on a new computer.  Since I am now working remotely, I had to switch computers and want to get Camelot running on my new computer. I had saved the database files from my old computer (Backups, Database, FileStore, Logs, Media) and downloaded them to the new computer, but I am not having any luck connecting these with my new version of Camelot.  I have changed to log file location in Advanced Settings, and added these files as a dataset but when I restart Camelot none of the information seems to have carried over.
I know you have answered similar questions before, but if you could provide the steps needed to get this working that would be awesome!
Thank you,
Amy

Hi,
I've had similar issues because I set the Database location to the wrong location.
Can you please send a screenshot of your Windows Explorer showing the location of all the folders, and then a screenshot of your Camelot settings?

Regards
Heidi

I am using a mac, and have the files on an external hard drive. I am also now running into the problem where Camelot is stuck on the start-up screen where it says "this is taking longer than expected.." I am trying to copy the log but it is not letting me do that. (I am admittedly not a computer genius)

Hi Amy,

How is the "dataset" menu configured?

One common gotcha is that the "Database location" should be the "camelot" folder, rather than the "Database" folder itself.

Thank you! Database location seemed to fix the problem. Camelot is now up and running on the new computer!

Now that I have the database up and running, I am running into an issue in the library. I get an error when I try to identify species. The error says:

"The operation could not be completed. This could be because the input is not valid. The details of the error are below.
No implementation of method: :put! of protocol:
#'clojure.core.async.impl.protocols/WritePort found for class:
nil

Technical details:
- Status code: 500
- With parameters: {:identification {:quantity 1, :species 801, :sighting-fields {}, :bounding-box-if nil}, :media [277726]}

Hi Amy,

Thanks for reporting that!  I believe turning on animal detection will work around the problem.

I will have a new release out this weekend to fix that!

Hi Amy,

An update on this: Camelot 1.6.7 is now available, which should address this problem https://groups.google.com/g/camelot-project/c/i1uLsf9mMd0
