Need intel on Calif aqueduct trail from Tracy to Patterson

Is the gravel road that follows the Calif. Aqueduct from Tracy to Patterson open to bikes? I'd like to submit the route below as a perm.

It used to be open to bikes, way back in RUSA’s early days. One Nor-Cal fleche team used it for part of their route.

However, I sense some utility locations got closed up in the post-9/11 security concerns? 
Definitely worth checking into for its current status.

The answer is possibly or maybe.  It changes.    The only way to know is to actually ride it.  They open and close different sections.

It actually looks like someone has ridden it this year in February according to the Segment page on Strava. The one user I'm seeing who rode it has a private account but you might try reaching out to him to ask about it...

I see that there's a Strava segment for it, but no one has logged a ride on it in about ten years.
I do recall hearing something about the trail opening up again, or at least segments of it. If I can look that up I'll let you know as it looks like a great perm idea!
