We are working on a portal of Mahabharata with commentary of Nilakantha. It's launch is on 5th April, Sunday in India Habitat Centre, Delhi. 

A curtain raiser online event is scheduled today with 6-7 participants including Shreevatsa. This will be live streamed on youtube. Here is the link

Another of the stupendous benefactorial enterprises of Dr. Yogananda!

The reward for accomplishing great tasks is, they say,  embarking upon greater tasks! :

If CSY can make available, some day,  all the reputed commentaries on the Gita (and even so, the Rāmāyaṇa too)

- all made searchable and zoomable - as the fonts in the printed Katti/other editions are by no means easy on the eye

(both on account of the font size/s and style) - that will be a a great boon 

to all students of Sanskrit, and all students of our saṁskr̥ti, alike !

The day must come, and come soon enough,

when the on-line resources of Hindu scriptures (and their commentaries) 

can surpass by far their counterparts in other religions 

- yes, the abundance of texts and their lexica/thesauri/concordances 

that have been made available by them are by no means on an ordinary scale.

We have much to emulate here, and more to surpass.

Not to forget, all the same, that they are all, after all, single-book cults, 

whereas our scriptural literature is massive and profusive,

and laden with sense and relevance, all the same:

hundreds of commentarial works are yet to see the light of day even in print:

NMM records bear out the mind-boggling bulk of such pending literature.

overwhelming undertakings by CSY,

Delighted to announce the inauguration of a Digital Home for Mahabharata studies on Chaitra bahula tadige of Parabhava samvatsara, April 5th, 2026, Sunday, at 9am, during the Indraprastha cultural festival organised by the Govt of Delhi,  in the India Habitat Centre, Delhi, April 03-05. The portal will present, to begin with, the entire Mahabharata, including Harivamsha, with the commentary of Nilakantha Chaturdhara, a 17th century scholar, in the parva-upaparva-adhyaya-shloka structure with ease of navigation, hyperlinks and advanced search features. The portal will also host a number of research / study articles related to Mahabharata. There will be a discussion forum for jignasus to engage with Mhabharata scholars.

We are delighted to welcome you to this event of establishing Jaya, another name for mahabharatha, in the parabhava samvatsara.
