Dear Scholars,

I am sharing my brief article containing an analysis of two festivals associated with the Ramayana: the tithi of Sri Rama's coronation and the tithi of Hanuman's birthday. The first of these is not celebrated widely but we have archaeological evidence for its celebration a thousand years ago. There continues to be some variation regarding the second festival which sparks a debate every year.
