Namo vidvadbhyaḥ,

I came across below tool to find meter(chhand) , it is really good.

I am looking for some effective tool for Samas(समास) and Sandhi..to break down complex
sentenses/padas.

Kindly share if you happen to know such tool.

Regards,
Vikram

Vikram ji,

If you are looking for a tool for your specific sentences,  the links I sent would not  help directly.

However, doing  exercises repeatedly from those links, at regular intervals,  help the brain in recognising patterns. The more time spent on these exercises, along with reviewing the teaching videos - (for me, mostly vyoma labs), the more you will find you will be spontaneously splitting /joining sandhi & samasa.

May I suggest to try  their other tools and quizzes too, it is a practical tool. Unsure if they have samasa, but you may write to them about it.

2) vyoma labs https://www.sanskritfromhome.org/learning-program-details/basics-to-brilliance-samasa-48698     has a samasa tool . They had a fantastic sandhi (joiner and splitter app). Both by the brilliant Sowmya Krishapur मान्या: ! Sandhi app got withdrawn, I was told  by vyoma it was to be reinstated shortly.

Dear Krishnanji

Depends on how much time he is ready to spend for it,  depends on the length of the file (matter)

Anyhow I can describe the process.

1.. Photocopy, the document ~  either by phone (easy doing it with Vflat app in android and iphone)  or using the norma table-top scanner - and of course the results would be dependent on the quality of the scan and what type of scan ~ whether it is image-scan or typed-out scan or hand-written-scan is one question) ~ because the results would be commensurate with that ~ it is is a typed out scan, the result would be nearly 100%.

2. The v-flat app allows to do ocr of the image and opy it to your laptop for editing (up to 10 pages per month free ~ and if it is paid version ~ unlimited).  So transfer the images to laptop.

3. Then using Sanscrit OCR  SanskritCR   (this is the link) - upload each image and get its editable text (in grantha) when it provides the OCR ~ copy paste to a notepad ~   Continue the process for all images ~

4. Correct the grantha note pad matter ~ for errors in the OCR ~

5. Using Aksaramukh app in the desktop/laptop from Aksharamukha   (from Virtualvinodh.com) either paste the grantha matter in the left and chose Devnagari on the right ~ the destination language) ~ get your devnagari matter in Unicode ~  copy paste to word and edit it.

6. Of course you can also upload the notepad file/word file containing the grantha-text itself to their site and get the devnagari converted text file ~ for download ~ time of course depending upon the length of the matter.

7. This is true from any language to any language.

Hope the process is clear.

8. For image to ocr process ~ one may also try ~ but whether it will do the ocr of grantha ~ I do not know. Try it - of course for other languages it will work ~ of course ~ this has again limitations of file size ~ free quota etc.   https://ocr2edit.com/pdf-to-word

Agni, showerer (of benefits), you who are the Lord, you alone among the gods pervade all living beings; and you give the sacrificer all the objects (phalāni) for which he prays

“Meet together, talk together, let your minds apprehend alike; in like manner as the ancient gods concurring accepted their portion of the sacrifice.”

“Common be the prayer of these (assembled worshippers), common be the acquisition, common the purpose, associated be the desire. I repeat for you a common prayer, I offer for you with a common oblation.”

“Common, (worshippers), be your intention; common be (the wishes of) your hearts; common be your thoughts, so that there may be thorough union among you.”
