यादृक् बाणः गद्यविधौ (कुशलोस्ति), तादृशः  पद्यबन्धे अपि स कुशल:।

इयं सरस्वती देवी हि गत्यां गत्यां विचित्रा (अस्ति)।

यादृक् — जैसे

गद्यविधौ — गद्य रचनाओं में 

बाणः — कवि बाण कुशल है,

पद्यबन्धे अपि — पद्य (छंदोबद्ध काव्य) में भी

तादृशः — वैसा ही (कुशल, समर्थ) है।

गत्यां गत्याम् — हर विधा में, हर ज्ञान में, हर मार्ग में

इयं देवी — यह देवी (सरस्वती)

विचित्रा हि — वास्तव में आश्चर्यजनक / अद्भुत है

सरस्वती — वाणी की देवी, वाक्शक्ति।

There is a popular alternative reading for this shloka, which is quite opposite in meaning :

So, if you are planning to quoting this shloka anywhere be ready to give justification on either side.
