I forgot to mention. At the beginning of my flight I witnessed two hawks with their talons hooked together plummeting out of the air. I bet they fell 500 feet before they released and flew separate ways. It was an awesome site to observe.

Yeah, pretty cool to see in the air, but not so much fun to watch when it's two old gray buzzard clubbers in the LZ. 

Seriously though, Willie, myself, and several others saw those two birds locked up and falling while we were on top getting ready.  It was COOL to watch!

Ooo! Cool to see the launch! I'm at LMFP for a bit longer to try and get my foundations down pat and start some ridge soaring/thermaling and look forward to flying with you guys in the future! Also getting my AT training in so I can check out Thermal Valley and their facilities once I get my skills up.

hey Doug  theres no camping in the LZ unfortunately  I plan to camp at Pinnacle launch  SAt nite maybe Sun   Csaba Nese  is using a commercial campsite near NC/SC border  you can address club email to him for info  thanks Bob
