Whilst on the topic of new buses, I don’t think I recorded that lion 241-246 each had unique rear adverts “king pins”, “bargain hunt”, “mane event”, “swim like a lion”, and “make tracks” to promote different uses and aspects of the route. 247-8 were originally plain to promote the brand, but over the summer we added “rail trails” and “feline flawless” onto these. 249-251 are plain. The seven jet black buses 252-258 also feature unique rear adverts “in a heartbeat”, “trolley dash”, “park life”, “jet speed”, “business class”, “fast fashion” and “flavour trail”, although 258 is partly missing and will be rectified in due course.
863, 864, 1204 have been withdrawn for sale (after service on 20, 17, and 20 December respectively), and 806 moved to reserve status after use on 19 December.
782 went away for repaint on 23 December to Bus & Coach World, Blackburn. 781 is also out of use pending repaint.
Withdrawn 313 remains on site, and 414 remains away for repaint in addition to the above.
Newbury & District
601-608 entered service on 9 December.
161-167 were withdrawn on 8 December pending sale.
657 went away for repaint on 20 December. 658 went away for repaint on 3 January. 655-656 remain active here during the repaint process.
791 returned from repaint into updated N&D livery (ex jet black) on 23 December and is being prepared to return to service. This was done by BP Rolls in Andover.
789 went away for repaint into N&D livery (ex jet black) on 23 December.
790/94 remain in reserve for repaint upon the return of 792/3.
Thames Valley Buses

A correction – 657/8 were the opposite dates to those listed.
