I bought my Goumi plants at 2 different places.  Now half have good size berries and half don't.  I want to graft the good onto the others.  Any tips?

Thanks Christine

I should add that I do have the scions from the good goumi's in the frig.  I guess one specific question is "How many inches from the ground should I cut off the trees that don't produce well?"

Dear Fruits and Nuts,

I am seeking recommendations for licensed, insured contractors.

Our community of 11 homes needs an eco-conscious landscaper who can mulch, weed, mow a steep slope, and who knows when and how to trim bushes and tend to plant health in our common areas.

We also need a skilled arborist who deeply understands how to appropriately trim trees for their long term health, and who could also take down trees in the future, if needed.

These do not need to be the same company.

I would love any recommendations this permie group could send my way, as I would like to be sure our HOA is keeping the plants we have healthy (as I slowly transition the place to a permaculture paradise together with some cooperative neighbors!).

Thanks!

Susan

Highly recommend Smart Feller for tree preservation/removal. They understand both trees and soil, and they go to great lengths to preserve the health and safety of both as well as of their employees. https://www.smartfellertreeworks.com/treepreservationplanning

I recommend Christian Edens, Asheville Arborcare , when I need a certified arborist in my fine garden business.

Hi Susan! Does the holistic landscaper need to have a contractors license? Healing roots design (me)  is happy to consult with you to see if we are the right fit.
