Brookline Town election on May 3: resources and important dates

Hi neighbors,

Brookline's annual Town election is on Tuesday, May 3 -- less than two weeks away. The townwide positions (Select Board, School Committee, etc.) are uncontested but nearly all Town Meeting seats are open and contested so your vote is important!

As a reminder, due to re-precincting following the 2020 U.S. Census, parts of what was precinct 4 are now included in precincts 3, 4, and 6. Your polling place is no longer the Town Hall. (Polling places are as follows - Precinct 3: Morse Apartments, 90 Longwood Avenue; Precinct 4: (Old) Lincoln School Gymnasium, 194 Boylston Street; Precinct 6: BHS Schluntz Gymnasium, 115 Greenough Street)

And a few important dates --

* Wednesday, April 27: last day to apply for an absentee ballot by mail

* Monday, May 2: last day to apply for an absentee ballot in person

* Tuesday, May 3: election day, polls are open 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Finally, there is no early voting this year but the Town Clerk's website has information about absentee voting, including over-the-counter absentee voting (see https://www.brooklinema.gov/138/Election-Information).
