I was honored to represent BAA at the funeral of our late missionary teacher Steve Huiskens in USA a couple of years ago. Today my dad represented FCS at the funeral of my principal. Many do not know this but Mr Akume invited my dad to speak at the graduation of Bristow students. During his speech, my dad said that he liked Bristow and the leadership of Mr Akume and therefore wanted his first son to attend Bristow.
The following year at age nine, I arrived Bristow. The students who had been there at the graduation speech nicknamed me “the promised son.” This is the background of my coming to school in Tivland. I am proud of BAA and the long-standing relationship of my dad and Mr Akume in Christ which transcended tribal groups. As Benue turns 45, we must remember the ties that bind over the divides that tear. - Emmanuel Ogebe

To the Promised Son, Emmanuel Ogebe,
I am delighted to read your tribute to our late Principal ONA and how you came to Bristow. ONA and your dad, Justice Ogebe were our great mentors in the faith under the auspices of the FCS. I have not been privileged to connect with your dad since after his retirement from service and I will like to do so now that I have found you out here. I do hope that you have not forgotten the Christian faith that you were raised with at Bristow. I was there visiting when your dad came to address the graduation ceremony you referred to in your email. I also remember coming back a few times to speak in the fcs fellowship meetings in the school.
My dear junior, I heard a little bit about your activism with the middle belt forum-MBF especially during the recent onslaught on the region by deadly Fulani heards men. I am on the National Working Committee of the MBF and very much involved in the struggle to carve out a distinct identity for MB areas/lands from the far north in Nigeria. I am also very active in BAA.

Please reach me on +2348134620882 which also my WhatsApp line.
My best regards,
Engr Ben Akaakar
President, BAAww
