Hi,

I’ve been toying with the idea of getting a half-hull model. I can’t find any off-the-shelf ones. After speaking with Denis Cartier of Abordage via email and then at the Annapolis Boat Show, he’s willing to discount the price if he can build more than one. Since the model is of the hull, the keel and keel/centerboard models have to be different. For myself, Willow is a keel/centerboard. Here’s the information from Denis:

-Half hull scale 1/24 makes a hull of 20" in length mounted on a wooden backboard US$ 590  plus shipping as per pictures HERE

-Half hull with deck details same scale  US$ 1350 plus shipping  as per pictures HERE

We can also build a half model with mast and sails  mounted in a wooden frame with acrylic as per pictures HERE or a complete ship model with mast fully customized as per pictures HERE

Please ask for a quote.

Our terms: 50% with the order 50% prior to shipping.

Shipping cost is not included in our quote.

Delivery: 15 weeks for the half hull and up to 30 weeks for the complete ship model.

We will send you once the model is built photos for your approbation before shipping.

Is anyone else interested? If so, please contact me off-list at sc...@sltf.com.

Regards,

Scott

Scott,
I'm not sure if you are on Facebook, but there is a gentleman that appears to already have the Bristol 40 half hull model available. However, he does not appear to have a working website, only available on Facebook. Here is a link to his page: https://www.facebook.com/thescale.modelcompany

There is a few nice old boats in Panama I saw that just need some TLC I just did an off shore with sustained 35 kt winds for 10 hours with my 1979 bristol 40 full keel sloop.
3rd reef and a little jib on a broad reach the balance was so nice auto pilot didn't have to work at all.
There are a lot of old bristols longing for a reserection out there.
