Hello Boxsters,
We awoke today to 6" of newly fallen snow.
The last one was almost gone and now we start again!
Oh, well!
It is the last Monday in February and time for a new Free Download.
This weeks FD is another from Christian's long lost files.
The art is by the master, Jack Leynnwood, and was featured on the 1976 release of the 1/72 scale, Revell Fokker D-VII German WWI fighter.
The kit originated in the UK, and was released in the US shortly afterwards.
The D-VII was a superb fighter for the Germans during the war.
Over 3,300 of them were built.
I was able to find a dozen nice images of the D-VII for your viewing pleasure.
All the images are 1280 pixels.

IIRC, the 'white' D7 depicted belonged to Hermann Goering.
The D7 was part of the Armistice in the respect that they all were to be surrendered!
Several came to the States and were actually distributed and used by a number of Army aviation groups.

Some even went to the Navy and Marines.
