Hi folks and happy new year. I am expecting some major plumbing work in the area where the dog park items are stored in my basement at locust and farragut.

I'm not confident there is room to just shift the dog park items to another area of the basement.

Can we explore (asap too) the idea of paying someone to remove those items? And store elsewhere or donate?

Thank you,
Brandon

What ever we decide we should get them out of your way

What all is there Brandon? Is it useful for another dog park or a home owner? Or trash?

Hello and happy new year to all.

Its everything we had at 48th and Chester. Shed, trash cans, outdoor tools/equipment etc.

Another dog park or community gardens could definitely use the items

I don't think any one of us has the spare time at this point to rehome this stuff. Brandon needs it out of his way ASAP. If he gets a quote from someone to remove it and dispose of it I believe that would be best. I can write a check for the removal cost. Even though there is a glimmer of hope that a dog run might happen in Clark Park who knows how long from now in the future it would not be worth it to pay to store it all.

Fred, do you think the dog park over by Greys Ferry that you go to could use the stuff now?

If not, I agree with finding a hauler to take it away.

No, I don't think they could at the present time.

Hi all, quick update for you. A community garden in SW hauled off both sheds, handful of trash cans and a bunch of tools.

Remaining items that are not trash: dog park signs (if anyone is sentimental), rakes, hand tools, Gatorade jug, countless balls, privacy screen for fence, and the a-frame agility ramp which is super heavy.

I'm ok if we want to send an email to membership to see if anyone wants anything. Not sure about execution on having folks pick up. I definitely would want that activity contained in 1 hour on 1 day.

After that, I can assess what's remaining and figure out if it's possible to fit everything in my truck in one load and pay to dump it at a private facility (usually charge $125/ton) so it'll be relatively cheap. The only item that is more than a 1 person lifting job is the agility ramp.

Please let me know what you think, thanks

Brandon, great that you found a community garden which could use our stuff. Thank you!

I am happy to send out a notice to the membership to come get what they want. Please specify a day and hour when that works for you and I will send the details. I will try to be there when you specify to greet folks. Need the address too.
