I have an urgent requirement with our client. Please let me know your interest.

 

DevOps Engineer

Location: Prefer local to Raleigh, NC but will consider east coast candidates

Duration: 12mth+

 

I’m looking for candidates for this Dev – Ops role.  The candidate has to be already living on the east coast preferably in Raleigh, NC area. 

 

·        Demonstrable aptitude and (can-do) attitude:  learn quickly and take on new challenges 

·        Ability to work independently 

·        Breadth of ability is more important than depth 

·        Proficiency with Git 

o   Push/pull 

o   Branching 

o   Merging (pull requests) 

o   Merge conflicts 

·        2+ years of experience with Python or Go 

o   Ideally focused on a product or long-term project vs. scripting 

·        Solid understanding of REST APIs 

o   HTTP verbs 

o   HTTP error codes 

o   JSON 

o   Etc… 

·        Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring systems (ScienceLogic / ServiceNow/ vAnalytics/ LiveNX/ Assurance) 

·        Experience with ThousandEyes 

·        Experience with AppDynamics 

·        Experience with Linux systems  

Optional, but highly desired 

·        Network engineering (support) experience 

·        Containers (Docker) 

·        Webapp UI design 

·        Data visualization 

·        JavaScript 

·        Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React 

·        Experience with the Go programming language 

·        Experience working with time series data 

 

Position Requirements

·         5 plus years experience in Dev/Ops

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science a plus

·         Prior experience working at Cisco a plus
