Job Description
Skillset/Roles and Responsibilities:
• Admin experience in Cloud Data Platforms, such as Snowflake (primarily), S3, Glacier and Streaming
– Experience in administering large scale database platforms
– Setting up and supporting data platforms, databases, compute/warehouses and other data related objects
– Tuning large database instances, manage performance, optimize utilization and capacity planning
– Design and Ownership of user and data access management controls
– Design and implement operationalization practices to comply with governance framework
– Identify risks, controls/mitigations to comply with data security and privacy standards
– Implement database migrations, database replication and backup/recovery techniques
– Analyze and influence in reducing complexity and costs of the platform, Design & develop utilization dashboards
– Collaborate planning, support app releases, incident resolution and change management
– Continuous refinement of platform processes, establish standards and guidelines
– Coordinate with platform vendors for support ticket resolution, analyze recommended solutions for impacts and implementation
• Development experience in
– Engineering database/data warehouse solutions, Database conversion/migration
– Designing & implementing DevOps solutions using CICD tools such as GIT, Jenkins and Database change management tools
– Designing & automating processes, such as administration and manual activities
– Evaluation, implementation and operationalization of new platform features
– Develop and champion best practices and guidelines, COEs
• Design, Developing and Troubleshooting applications & databases
• Ability to analyze complex problems, advise and implement solutions and workarounds
• Solid knowledge and experience with database concepts, logical & physical data modeling
• Workload planning/management & onshore/offshore coordination
• Experience with Agile project methodologies, Attitude to learn and adopt new Tools/Technologies/Processes
• Working experience in Snowflake (2+ years), Oracle (5+ years), Data Warehouses and ETL solutions (5+ years)
• Working experience in AWS IAM and S3 (1+ year)
