Create trigger

Can't seem to create a trigger for the Shelf.

The only was I can access is to trigger QS then trigger Shelf with cmd/opt/S.

And…

Trying to create a trigger for a folder that resides in the root Library.

But the search doesn't reveal it and I've not been able to drop the folder onto the Create window.

Perhaps coz it's in the root library?

Hi Fritz,

Follow the instructions in the manual on how to create a trigger to show the Shelf. In short Create a trigger for ’Shelf’ → ‘Open’:

Trying to create a trigger for a folder that resides in the root Library.

You can select any file or folder in the Trigger command builder’s first pane by dragging the file/folder from Finder and dropping it in the first pane:

Alternatively, you can navigate to the root folder of your computer by long holding /

for the Shelf trigger, attached is what shows up.  Even after trying to change in 2nd pane.

For the Root library subfolder.  When I try to drag the folder to the Trigger build pane, the build pane disappears.
Long hold does not work at all.

dunno how I did it, but I did create a Trigger for the Root library subfolder.

Make sure you have ’Shelf & Clipboard’ enabled in the catalog preferences. It’s the highlighted one here:

hmmm, my Catalog doesn't look like yours, though I have the shelf & clipboard plug installed.
