Another weekend and another product review. Bought a samsung product willingly. Samsung T5 SSD 500 GB. Using it with my phone, so a bit hard to tell the actual transfer speed, but it is quite fast.... Transferred mixed contents (pics and videos) of around 11 GB in around 50 second or so. I had my eyes on seagate, WD, sandisk, and samsung wanted to get sandisk it is more rugged and looks better but got it as it was the only one that ended up in the price range that I had set. Price is the only CON of this product.

Pros
  • Metal body.
  • Very lightweight.
  • Very small hence portable.
  • Being lightweight means it can just hang down from table.
  • Comes with USB C to C and USB C to A cable so backward compatible too.
  • Works easily with an USB C phone as an OTG which was a not possible with HDD.
  • No moving parts so hopefully less chance of it getting corrupted.
Attached are images compared to a metro card ( a normal sized ATM/Credit card) for size and a parker vector pen for thickness.

I understand this review will hardly be read by more than 5 people, and would of any use to anyone reading it, but it helps me improve my typing especially typing while watching something.

You can buy a USB 3.0 pen drive but it'll come down to if the PC you are connecting it to is USB 3.0 or not.

BTW I also have a sandisk pen drive that's wifi compatible. It has good battery life too. You can check that out. No need to connect it via port just connect it to it's wifi via sandisk app.

Looks like a superb product. Thanks for sharing this review. Transfer speed is also very good. I will definitely recommend this in my office.

I’ll have to check if my Surface Book 2 is USB 3.0 compatible.

I really like the idea of a wifi pendrive, I’ll surely check it.

If the USB port has blue colour in it, it's 3.0 and if it's black it's the older one.

Surface book 2 hasn't got USB C ??

Well, my Surface Book 2 has two 3.1 Type-A USB Ports on the left side with a full SD card slot, and on right side it has the propriety Surface Connector Port (for charging) and a Type-C 3.1 USB Port.

There you have one USB-C and even USB 3. But still look up youtube once, for watching it in action.

For chintan....

Took out my sandisk wireless connect out of it's designated bag after around 3 months or maybe more, thought it might need to be charged again and I was amazed to find out that it didn't loose any charge in storage.
Also attaching a picture, just in case.

V nice. But why do you need so much extra storage. I am good with a phone of 64/128 GB plus a sd card.

Only recent purchase is the SDD that too after my previous HDD crashed. Twin pen drive is around 3 years old and the wifi pen drive is around 4 or something years old ( bought it during a family function to empty the camera card and it also helped when everyone was asking for the pics, rather than sending the low quality pic over whatsapp they just installed the app and took it) .

And keep the dual pendrive with USB C adapter for on the go times... becomes easy to give or take stuff or even to get printouts when away from home.

And also knowing that both bags have one pendrive in it, calms me down...
