This para is important to read:

“BlackBerry -- which counts the United States government as a major customer for its security products -- announced in February that it would end a 2016 licensing and technology support with TCL Communication at the end of this month.”

I was under the impression that come September 2020 BB will stop further SW updates for their phones. But, it’s just their licensing deal with TCL.
This gives me hope, great hope, to see future BB devices.

Man buying BB now by an individual would be fool me once and fool me twice scenario... Maybe enterprise people might get it...

I understand what’re you’re coming from, Enzo!

Let’s hope they’ve learned from their mistakes, and would iron out all the chinks in their armour.

I’m hoping for a turnaround.

Last year i got rid of a couple of toxic relationships man..... 🤣🤣🤣

I am pretty happy with my life right now, till undergrad life fiddling and tinkering was ok and enjoyable, now it's just frustrating I like my devices working seamlessly and by the time this BB comes hopefully my Fold 2  ( in worst case Note 20 ultra ) would be an year old by then... 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Frankly spkng, with the anti China sentiment sweeping all over the world, and with very very limited choices now available, this shld be the right time for BlackBerry to go beyond the enterprise segment again.

The moot q is do they have the hunger in them :)

Everytime I see one+ or redmi type of launches and the tech world hyping it and then it getting sold out in seconds, I wonder where is this anti china sentiments we all keep talking about... Is it just us few shelling out extra bucks to not buy anything Chinese ???

So an anecdotal reality - in my immediate world of family and friends, I know atleast a dozen ppl, perhaps more, who've purchased apples n Samsungs by giving up one plus etc.

No, I don't believe the sentiment is unreal. There is an overt propaganda machinery working for those that 'are sold in seconds'

Conclude, with the larger picture: it's about BlackBerry and it's hunger to recapture the individuals imagination.
