Hello Guys,

Finally my BlackBerry Passport has been resurrected :D

My phone refused to charge. Initially I ‎thought something was wrong with the charging socket, and didn't bother much to invest my time behind it.

Few days back I got myself an Anker portable charger, and today I decided to give it a try, and to my surprise ‎it started charging, and by God's grace it's charging really well.

Diwali gift, I would say :D

PS: BTW, how many of you are yet clinging onto your BB10 beauties :D

Few days back I was even thinking of getting myself a new BB10 device, either a BlackBerry Passport or a BlackBerry Classic.

But then I wasn't able to convince myself to carry 2 phones, as in today's day and age it's practically impossible to use a BB10 phone as your only device.

I always keep on telling this, and would reiterate that BB10 is one ‎of the most refined no-nonsense OS meant to get your work done, and I miss it so so much.

BB dead after Z10. Firmly on iphones for last 4 years now.
No regrets, best hardware and super apps support.

Security, I don’t know, never had any issues on any of these.

Thanks
Vishal

Congrats dude.... Whenever I am just browsing amazon, I often feel like buying a passport or a gold and white Q10. But then I ask myself.... Why. I have only one number so what will I do of 2nd phone. But whenever I got a 2nd number, I surely m going to buy either of the two.

And also...... Anker is the boss :D will upgrade my current anker multiport to a USB C supporting one, soon :)

That is nice. I face this problem of devices not charging sometimes. Often due to faulty chargers or loose connections. Getting a device  back to life or finding a use of your device lying idle is a joy only gadget freaks can experience

Enjoy your diwali gift Chintan

:)

Ditto @ one number predicament.
As you know that I've ported my primary number to jio, I'm facing issues with international calls. Also, my younger bro was in states last month and he had issues with incoming calls there, this could be a one off issue, but still.

Because of the international calls and not so sure international roaming issue, I'm planning to get myself a second number, and when I'm getting that - it's getting into my BB10 device :D

Vishal bhai, I've been on ios for more than a year now, and I'm really happy.
In fact, after BB10 it's ios that's been able to give me that sense of comfort.

But, for me BB10 will always have a special place and priority :D

I can unapologetically confess that I'm biased towards BB10 :D

As crazy as it may sound, I kept this in a comatose state‎ Passport in my almirah, and used to always cherish its aesthetics and used to feel nostalgic reminiscing my happy memories attached to it :D

I find that feature of jio to be quite useful..... Rather than saying I don't like talking to you, I can say "no idea man, there seems to be some problem with my network provider " :D

My passport has gone in start up error mode. Hope will be able to start it back soon. I too have problem charging it even with original bb charger and cable.

I've got bb passport, classic and m thinking of selling both. I've got full box of both too.

Do you have buyers for used BB10 phones? Which practically are redundant in today's apps and feature crazy world?

Selling would be very painful. I don't think you'll get more than 5000, unless you happen to be at the right place and right time with the right buyer. :D

And who or what would be right people or right place.... 🙄

I loved whatsapp on bb 10 too, the features didn't continue on android phones.

Ha ha ha.... Better switch it off then and do an autopsy. ;p
Or if you have a bit of time, download a stable working OS and load that and see, if it's ok or you have to pull the plug and then do autopsy. :D

I won’t do nothing :(
Too much of time and effort has already been invested behind this chap. And the melting thing has made the phone way too messy, can’t even begin to clean it.

I feel really bad when old gadgets go missing or get ruined. A lot of emotional investment always goes into them.

That is why keep them, for as long as I could. And when I feel like it, I do an autopsy , so that they give me some experience and knowledge as one last 'service'.
And this habit has got a boost from Jerry rigs everything. Soon I'll be buying a heat gun and stuffs and then a 2nd hand one plus or some glass back phone and make it transparent. ;D
