Hello,

Does anyone have a good recommendation for a bulk CD/DVD rip station that has a friendlier price tag than the RipStation? I could make due with a smaller loading capacity. I'm interested to know what alternatives people are using.

Thank you,
Christina

We have been using the Acronova Nimbie for several years now and are pretty happy with it. I know of several other repositories also using it.  I first found out about it via this article published a few years ago in Code4Lib Journal.  The software it comes with is not well suited to our workflow, so, like NYPL describes in the article, we've been using Iromlab, open source software developed by someone at the Library of the Netherlands and available on GitHub, with a few tweaks.  Happy to share more details if you are interested.

We just got a Nimbie here too, seems like a fine machine but I've only worked with it a little bit so far. I'd add that they seem to be rarely in stock on the website. I couldn't get a response from Arcnova on when they would have them in stock again, and basically started checking the website almost every day and a month or so ago they had two in stock.
