What is happening in this bitcoinj forum? It's getting more and more people posting ads and possibly simply scammers.

Could someone clear them out maybe? Or is this one of those thankless jobs that never ends no matter how hard you try?

In the end doesn't effect me so much but was surprised to see this. Anyway that's my moan for the day over :-) Tomorrow I will surely find something else hehe.

It surprised me that this project still uses a forum. Most groups moved to slack or telegram for much faster/smoother communications. Obvious disadvantage is worse archiving and less subject focused communications (though slack supports threads)

Yeah we should all help out and clear the spam. I'll notify the admin to request moderator status. Or we should really just discord.

I don't use Slack or Telegram because of it's centralization, and in the
case of Telegram the forced identification via phone number.

What do you think about using a Matrix group (aka Riot)?
