reversed z-score scale in Biodiverse map console

Hello everyone!

I'd like to ask about something I've noticed in both Biodiverse 5.0 and 5.99_002. When displaying randomized index results in the Map Console, the values on the color scale appear to be reversed in terms of sign.

For example, for PD (and, in fact, for all randomized indices I've checked), cells with positive z-scores are associated with negative values on the scale bar. The color gradient itself appears to be correct, but the numerical labels on the scale seem to have their signs reversed. In addition, the negative values are shown at the top of the scale bar and the positive values at the bottom, whereas I would expect the opposite.

This did not occur in earlier versions (e.g., version 4), so I suspect it may be related to how the numerical scale is being displayed rather than to the underlying calculations.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? If so, do you know what might be causing it and how the scale should be interpreted?

Hello Diego,

Thanks for the report.  

This is a bug in the plotting code due to an oversight when rewriting it for version 5.  The labels are in reverse order compared with the colours.

A fix is now in place and will be part of the next release.
