Subject: Paper Submission Deadline Approaching - RE: Call for Papers - ACMBCB 2023 in Houston, TX (Sept. 3rd-6th, 2023)
Importance: High
Call for Papers |
The 14th ACM Conference on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Health Informatics (ACM BCB 2023) is the flagship conference of the ACM SIGBio. It will be held in Houston, TX during September 3-6, 2023, after the past 13 ones held in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Newport Beach, Niagara Falls, Online (due to COVID19), Orlando, Seattle, and Washington DC. ACM BCB 2023 will continually showcase leading-edge R&D on data collection, processing, analysis, and knowledge modeling for biological, clinical, and healthcare applications from bench to bedside. In addition, it will be co-located with The International Workshop on Algorithms in Bioinformatics (WABI 2023), whose focus is on algorithmic R&D in bioinformatics, computational biology and systems biology with the emphasis on discrete algorithms and machine-learning methods.
As a premier ACM conference for interdisciplinary research linking computer science, mathematics, statistics, biology, medicine, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, biomedical informatics, and health informatics, over the past 13 years, ACM BCB annual conference has risen to be among the top 20 most influential Bioinformatics and Computational Biology referred journals and conferences by Google Scholar (https://scholar.google.com/citations?view_op=top_venues&hl=en&vq=bio_bioinformatics). As of today, ACM BCB has h5-index=28, and h5-median=50.
To further improve the quality and the impact of ACM BCB, starting from 2023, the organizing committee (OC) will adopt a fully open double-blind review process via OpenReview.net. It will not only enhance the transparency of the review process, but it will also improve the paper quality by enabling interactions among the authors, reviewers, and the research community. In addition, the OC will establish new partnerships with multiple refereed journals to publish selected original research papers accepted by ACM BCB 2023.The complete list of partner journals and other exciting developments will be announced on the conference website: https://acm-bcb.org/. The topics of interest include, but are not limited to the following.
