Hello BBB Team,

i was looking to find (and haven't yet) a topic to cover if there is a way to kick a user via the API. The scenario is if someone has shared their login link/credentials to other people they can enter the conference and it will be two users with the same name but two separate sessions. Then the moderator will have to be tracking each doublets and kicking them out.

My suggestion is to allow user to be kicked via the API by the user ID. So if there is a user with id 23 for example before joining the 3rd party to check for it and if present to kick the user currently in the conference and put the joining user in it. That would also cover situations where users are trying to join from different devices and creating multiple sessions.

Do you think that would be possible to implement?

Regards
Peter

There's no API request for this currently. I think the only thing you can do to a running meeting is end it. I don't think it would be incredibly difficult to implement an API call to kick a user, but I'm not sure if we would want to do it because it's not something that we'd be likely to use. You can submit a GitHub issue and explain the request there and it would be a place to track it.
