Custom layout webcam on left/right by default

Hello, currrently the webcam is at the top by default, is there any way to set it to the left/right side by default?

We don't want to use smart layout because the smart layout is splitting the webcam and pdf 50:50 space, which make the pdf content area too small.

No.

"Make the PDF content area too small" is not a thing the smart layout does. It actually maximizes presentation side according to

slide width/height and the assigns the remaining viewport to webcams. Minimum viewport for webcams is 10 or 20% so

what you're saying sounds incorrect.

Kindly refer to the image below that the webcam is occupying too many spaces in the Smart Layout. That's why we go for the Custom Layout and better to have the webcam on the left/right side by default. Thanks.

This is because the content is in portrait mode. Try to use a presentation in landscape mode, you'll see how the layout will adapt.

Thanks for the info. but all of our book contents are in portrait, there's really no way to set the webcam to the side by default?
