BBB not working on Ipads or Lenovo tablets or when it does you cannot screen-share or use whiteboard etc.

Morning All 

I have been testing BBB for my institution and have found that on certain tablets ( Ipad and lenovo) it either gives me a error that it does not work on the browser. ( i have downloaded on all devices- safari, chrome and firefox).  ( all updated before testing ) 

When testing i got BBB to work but certain  BBB functionalities were disabled, such as screenshare and whiteboard. 

Please could some help me understand the proble and have possible solutions?

As far as the ipad is concerned, screen sharing is not possible. This is not due to bbb but to apple, the function is not allowed in Safari.

With us, bbb (2.2.22) runs via Safari (iOS13.7) on the ipad. The whiteboard can be used with Safari, but after about 2 hours it is no longer useful, the writing is no longer legible. Working with PowerPoint slides (converted to pdf) works well.

Before the question arises, there is no standalone app for bbb.

Many thanks for the information it is helpful. 

would not ask about an app as this would incur data cost for students and we are trying to avoid this. ( we just got BBB zero-rated within our LMS)

zoom does not use the webbrowser, they use a native app.

you could develop an app for bbb too, or hire someone to do that. But this would be a lot of work and need high knolledge.

if you use zoom via the browser it would not work either.
