Hi Everyone,
The 18th BigBlueButton Developer Summit (Nov 27 - Dec 1) is now underway in Berlin. You can see more details at
https://conference.bigbluebutton.org/.
The goal of the BigBlueButton project is to build a world-class platform for teaching effective virtual classes. We phrase this as empowering teachers to teach and learners to learn. Learning is the key, and an effective virtual class helps increase learning outcomes (think of it as the opposite of passive learning).
The 18th BigBlueButton Developer Summit conference is a global conference that brings together the BigBlueButton developers from around the world.
Here's a picture from yesterday's standup.

We invite everyone who is interested to see the results of this developer summit to join the demo session.

Before the demos, I'll give an update on the project with a presentation on “Teaching Effective Virtual Classrooms using BigBlueButton in 2024”.
Following my presentation, there will be 10 minute demos from the participants.
The demos include
- exploring other audio/video media servers,
- improving communications between client/server with GraphQL,
- a roadmap for the user interface,
- extending the functionality of shared notes
- using AI to process recordings
- and more!
All the demos will be broadcasted at the above URL (thanks to Humboldt University of Berlin for providing the BigBlueButton server).
Feel free to share the above information with others and invite anyone interested in the BigBlueButton project to attend the live demos.
Regards,... Fred
