Recording playback presentation

Hello everyone. I have problem with playback presentation.

After ending webinar, it is existing in /var/bigbluebutton/recording/raw/76ffea076ded9d65714b33aa76920a238e33b50f-1558776983997 directory

after that I'm copying it on /var/bigbluebutton/published/presentation/76ffea076ded9d65714b33aa76920a238e33b50f-1558776983997 directory

then I want to watch my webinar with this link

and it is not working

also I have tried to rebuild, publish and republish id manually with this commands

sudo bbb-record --rebuild 76ffea076ded9d65714b33aa76920a238e33b50f-1558776983997

sudo bbb-record --republish 76ffea076ded9d65714b33aa76920a238e33b50f-1558776983997

but it also didn't work.

Please help me with this issue

A few questions

1. What version of BigBlueButton did you install (it looks like 2.0 but want to be sure)?

2. Did you get any errors during installation?

3. Did recording and playback work before?

4. Did you make any customization to your BigBlueButton server.

The way you describe the problem suggests you are writing (or have made changes to) a record and playback script. Are you using the built-in record and playback scripts or making changes/writing new scripts?

I'm using 2.0 version
I don't get any type of errors during the installation process
I have done some recordings before, and it works perfectly
And i didn't done any custom configuration on server

I have deleted all before testing it again. But if it exists on /var/bigbluebutton/recording/raw directory and i moved it manually to published directory, what is the problem, that it is not playing?

Hi Lilit,

you don't move the recordings from raw to processed. BBB will process the raw file and 'publish' it to the published area. The process is described at[1].

Were the meetings set to be recorded and recording turned on inside of the meeting?

I'm using this link for watching the recorded meeting by changing meetingId by appropriate one
meetings are set in their default place, i don't change any configuration for that

after finishing the meetings, the files are existing on /var/bigbluebutton/recording/raw/<internal-meeting-id>/ directory, after that I'm doing manually bbb-record --rebuildall, and then it's moving on /var/bigbluebutton/recording/process/presentation/<internal-meeting-id>/ directory. But it doesn't moving on publish, or published directory automatically. That is my problem. Is there any way to reconfigure, or do something, that it start work properly?

Hi Lilit,

There may be an error file as to why it's not moving to publish. Try the following

sudo updatedb

which updates the mlocate database. Then search for all files containing the meeting id, such as

locate 293c08e3cf51d72d0d148732da7942769e54edc5-1559388973263

Look for the output files in

/var/log/bigbluebutton

Do you see any errors in the logs for processing this meeting?

What you pasted doesn't match the previous image. The lines in the image were also cut off at the end and I don't think it was the full output from the file. The log file that you were looking at in the image looks like it might have something useful in it, but we need the whole thing.

For this recording there was no Start/Stop recording marks. If you do another quick test on your server of creating a recording but not clicking the Start/Stop Record button, you should see a similar message in the log files.

but when I'm creating the meeting, I'm making record attribute true. So it will do automatically. I don't want to do that with start and stop buttons. What me do?

Are you using the Flash or HTML5 client? If HTML5, is it an option for you to upgrade to BigBlueButton 2.2-beta?

You'll find the newer HTML5 client in 2.2-beta can replace the existing Flash client.

Hi Fred,

there was problems with updating, then I rebuild my my server, followed installation steps, and in sudo apt-get install bigbluebutton step, have a problem. Output is

I have tried

sudo apt update --fix-missing

sudo apt install -f

sudo dpkg --remove --force-remove--reinstreq
sudo apt clean
sudo apt update

Also tried to install to install bbb-config

The following packages have unmet dependencies:

When you have a problem installing a dependency package, the next step is try installing that dependency and see what error is emitted. Try

sudo apt-get install bbb-playback-presentation

and let us know the error you see.

Your server is also only part-way configured for HTTPS access. In particular "/etc/nginx/sites-available/bigbluebutton" seems to be missing stuff.

I will change my server to 4CPU cores, but it worked before as well.
Now meeting is working.

Some of the values on your create call don't look right.

"allowStartStopRecording" is missing a value. It should be true, false, or not be added.

"autoStartRecording" should be true or false

"record" should be true or false
