issue with recording player

Hello!

I found an issue in the recording player in BBB 2.3.17.

The record was made in BBB version 2.2, but this record was migrated to BBB version 2.3.17. The issue is with hyperlinks in chat of the record. The links are not displayed correctly.

Please look at the same record but in different players (2.0 and 2.3):

Player 2.3.17:

I fixed this error by switching the recording player to version 2, but I want to use playver version 3, it is more useful.

How to fix this error in player version 3, please help. Any ideas to fix this issue?

Hi,

I noticed your chat messages have some extra whitespaces (before and after). First time I see this sort of thing. Just out of curiosity, do you have any idea why this is happening?

Hello!

I noticed your chat messages have some extra whitespaces (before and after). First time I see this sort of thing. Just out of curiosity, do you have any idea why this is happening?

We have always used the traditional version of bbb, with no changes since version 0.81. When a new version of bbb came out, we upgraded (when possible) or fresh installed and migrated records. That's all we've done with records over the past 10 years.
 

Linked the bug you found at the bbb-playback's repository. I'll take a look later on, thanks for reporting.

If you need any help, let me know. Also, I can provide access to the server where these records are located.
 

Please help solve the problem, otherwise the students complain that the links do not work.

Try editing one of the recordings and remove the spaces to see if link plays for that.  If it does, you can use sed to remove these spaces in html links to fix older recordings.

 

If it happens on the new recordings, will want to open issue in tracker.

I tried to reproduce this but I could not generate that text format (paragraph tabulation). What browser are you using? Do you have any type of plugin installed that could be affecting your text entries?

This was taken from one of my tests with some of your URLs. I'm on BBB 2.4:
