BBB2.6 and tldraw issues

Hi,

I've just updated my server from 2.5 to 2.6 version.

The new whiteboard is awesome, but the teachers are testing it are telling me that they have some issues with the new whiteboard.

1- Draw the same shape multiple times

When you draw any shape (square, triangle, arrow, etc) once the sape is drawn the "select" cursor is selected, so if you want to draw the same shape multiple times you have to select it again. I think that, once drawn any object, the cursor should not change, and the user should be able to continue using the same shape, if the user wants to use the select tool, the user should actively select it.

2- Issues with the lines width

I've seen that the width of the lines is zoom dependent, this is a change from the previous whiteboard.

In the previous whiteboard, the with was always the same and it was independent from the current zoom, the lines were always drawn with the same width, and once you zoom in/out the lines width adapt to the new zoom, now the lines width is calculated with the current zoom, so when you zoom to 100% the lines have the "default" width.

I think that this is correct for a drawing tool, but not for a whiteboard.

The width of the lines should be always be the same, independent of the zoom, because if not, the presenter will never know how big the texts, or the lines will be until the presenter has drawn it. In the previous version you always knew that the lines were of the same width.

I know this is a complex decision and has more to do with tldraw than with BBB, but for my users this is a major problem.

Hi David, thank you for your feedback on the new whiteboard!

Please keep in mind 2.6 is still alpha, so there's a lot of development going on yet before beta and then before the first release. Said that, please keep testing and reporting issues you find.

It's the same as in libreoffice, to draw a sequence of same objects, double click the object icon while starting.
