Join meeting externally via Polycom, Asterisk...

Hello... We are trying to join a meeting externally via Polycom (https://www.polycom.com/voice-conferencing-solutions/conference-phones.html) but I read a previus message (2015-04-17) asking and wondering about this issue, but you answered that BBB does not support H.323 protocol but have in mind and also it is include at your roadmap... do you have any news about this issue??? Thank you so much for the good work!!! ;-D

No work has been done to support H.323 as far as I'm aware. We're primarily using opus and VP8 for audio and video because the browsers support those codecs the best, so it would require transcoding to get it working.

I am wondering if there is any comprehensive guide (step-by-step or something similar to try!!!) to configure externals devices and connect them with BBB via WEBRTC or V8 ¿?¿? Does anyone knows about it?? Also... do you think we could connect externally and join a meeting with a device using h.264??

Hi there,

If you are looking to connect via a voice call to BigBlueButton, see

 http://docs.bigbluebutton.org/2.2/customize.html#add-a-phone-number-to-the-conference-bridge

Users could then dial in from the polycom to BigBlueButton.  They would appear as a phone number in the User's list.
