I have been trying all day long to get BBB to run. Strangely, the letsencrypt domain verification does not work. My domain is: blue.reussite.io

Letsencrypt tries to connect to following URL, which returns 404 as you can experience yourself:

http://blue.reussite.io/.well-known/acme-challenge/WoxhMkZFSMTwAqsIwR0uMEdTXg1ZxmOFytPSYOh4VZ8

The question is, why am I getting 404? I tried multiple times with multiple different domains and subdomains.

I am using   ami-0e28822503eeedddc on AWS, which is 64 bit Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.

My logs follow.

Any suggestions?

Failed authorization procedure. blue.reussite.io (http-01): urn:ietf:params:acme:error:unauthorized :: The client lacks sufficient authorization :: Invalid response from http://blue.reussite.io/.well-known/acme-challenge/WoxhMkZFSMTwAqsIwR0uMEdTXg1ZxmOFytPSYOh4VZ8 [3.97.212.22]: "<html>\r\n<head><title>404 Not Found</title></head>\r\n<body bgcolor=\"white\">\r\n<center><h1>404 Not Found</h1></center>\r\n<hr><center>"

IMPORTANT NOTES:

 - The following errors were reported by the server:

   Domain: blue.reussite.io

To fix these errors, please make sure that your domain name was

entered correctly and the DNS A/AAAA record(s) for that domain

   contain(s) the right IP address.

 - Your account credentials have been saved in your Certbot

configuration directory at /etc/letsencrypt. You should make a

secure backup of this folder now. This configuration directory will

also contain certificates and private keys obtained by Certbot so

making regular backups of this folder is ideal.

Did you use the bbb-install.sh script.   Looks like the domain name is mapping to a server, that is not the one letsencrypt is running on if I had to guess.

Make sure your AWS security group has the correct ports set.

Hi,

Kindly check your DNS record, if it points IPv6 to the server IP.
