BIDA Volunteers for 5/15 Dance

Hello you all lovely BIDA Volunteers,

We've got our BIDA Open Band playing for us this Sunday, May 15, and they're having an Open Band jam as I type! Luke Donforth will be calling some of his great dances, so you know it will be a good time. The dance runs 7:30-10:30 pm, with a lesson at 7 pm. Come help with set up or one of the three door slots, and dance the rest of the night on us. Remember that BIDA runs on volunteers, and we couldn't do it without you.

Set up, 6-7 pm; need 1 (pull boxes out from under the stage, set up signs inside and out, large fan at base of stairs next to kitchen, box fan filter in outer corner near the stage, set up roughly 25 chairs along the outside wall, string lights)

Early door, 6:30-8 pm; need 3 (check vax cards, ask for emails to contact tracing, take money, answer questions)

Late door, 8-9 pm, need 2 (same as early door)

Late late door, 9-10 (checking vax cards), need 1

We've got plenty of hand sanitizer, and have upped our mask policy to match what Greenfield and Concord are requiring. 

* full vaccination, plus booster if you are eligible. Bring proof!

* N95, KN95, KN94 only masks

* email contact for contact tracing (at least one iPad, and multiple QR codes for people to scan.

Please let me know (email, voice or text to the phone/emails below) which shift works for you. I am so looking forward to seeing you all on the dance floor.

Hello, Julia and Dana,

I am sending this as a reminder that you had volunteered for early door for tomorrow's dance. 

I thank you so much, and really appreciate your stepping in to help.

I am not at the Washington Folk a festival this weekend; I came home from Vermont to a positive-tested husband and decided I could not risk either myself or anyone else getting sick from a possible exposure. I have been masking, have a borrowed Corsi-Rosenthal box, and we have been isolating at opposite ends of upstairs. Fortunately we have plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to do this.
