Jim passed away this morning. He went to Rice but many of you knew him. History of heart probs and recently  a Parkinsons-like affliction that prevented him from playing music. I bonded with him over poetry in 10th grade at the Oasis Diner. And ever since.  And for those who stayed in Burlington you know what a fine Musician he was. Now he's fiddling in the sky and laying down bass riffs. RIP Jim McGinnis.

Thank you David for letting us know. I always had a little crush on Jim since high school. He was in my drivers ed car back then. He was so fun to be with. So kind. And so talented. I was hoping someday he might give me a few bass guitar lessons. I did not know he wasn’t well. Sad not to see his smile or hear him play again. So sad he is gone.
