Hey all,

Timely reminder here of the second Berkeley Linux User Group meetup of the month. 

Both the virtual and the in-person physical meetups start at 11:00am PDT this Sunday, October 22nd and go to 2:00pm or however late people want to participate.

Another reminder here that Sunday's BerkeleyLUG Jit.si Meet session will require login authentication near the time the scheduled virtual meetup begins "using a Google Account _or_ a Facebook account _or_ a GitHub account", as per Rick M's previous posting 'meet.jit.si change (re: initial room creation)' at http://linuxmafia.com/pipermail/sf-lug/2023q3/015885.html

IIRC, the consensus from one of the last meetups is that the in-person physical meetup will again be at Caffe Strada.
Caffe Strada's address is 2300 College Ave Berkeley, CA 94704 and it is located at the Southwest corner of College and Bancroft across the street from the main Cal campus (see its OpenStreetMap.org geolocation map at https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=19/37.8691/-122.25484 )

Although there is a Heat Advisory for the Bay Area today (Thu 10/19/2023), Sunday's current weather prediction for Berkeley zipcode 94704 is "Variable clouds with a shower in spots", at least according to https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/berkeley/94704/daily-weather-forecast/332044

Am preparing to attend SEMI-Bug's RUST programming language online presentation shortly, and then might be able to remotely authenticate BerkeleyLUG Jit.si Meet session as close as possible to the latter's start time.

Already authenticated and started the Jit.si Meet session from an indoor non- Caffe Strada location (light rain currently falling outside), and have at least one other computing device to simultaneously work on indoors here :-)
