Will be bringing along a Linux-revitalized Chromebook to giveaway that was among those originally provided courtesy of at least Fixit Clinic's Peter M, of the folks of StrayCap Makerspace in Hayward [1][2], and of SudoRoom's Thomas L.
This particular giveaway Chromebook has a minimalistic installation of Debian Linux [3] with the LXQt desktop environment [4], which appears to make resource-constrained Chromebooks such as this run slightly faster than Ubuntu-based Linux distros such as Linux Mint[5], Zorin OS [6] and Lubuntu [7].  It has a total of 16 GB of internal storage, 4 GB of RAM, a pair of USB Type A (Female) ports, and a single microSD slot for expanded storage.  Comes with its AC power adapter, and when sufficiently charged, seems decent for doing light computing tasks (email, web-browsing, office productivity, ...) used when travelling and/or near WiFi hotspots.
Just in case more than one person expresses interest in the Chromebook, have a second similarly-configured Chromebook with Debian Linux installed that could bring along as well, to giveaway.

Cheers!
-A
