Could turn out to be something on my end, but after over a half-dozen-or-so attempts to join today's meetup https://meet.jot.si/BerkeleyLUG from two different PCs using two adequately-configured browsers and two different webcam/microphones (8 combo attempts so far), keep getting kicked off of the virtual meetup :-\

Michael and Tom don't seem to have this same issue.
FWIW, when attempting to reach https://test.jitsi.org/ , am consistently receiving a message something like this....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
test.jitsi.org | 522: Connection timed out
------------------------------------------------------------------
Connection timed out
You -- Browser Working
San Jose -- Cloudflare Working
test.jitsi.org -- Host Error
What happened?
The initial connection between Cloudflare's network and the origin web server timed out. As a result, the web page can not be displayed.
What can I do? If you're a visitor of this website:
Please try again in a few minutes.
If you're the owner of this website:
Contact your hosting provider letting them know your web server is not completing requests. An Error 522 means that the request was able to connect to your web server, but that the request didn't finish. The most likely cause is that something on your server is hogging resources...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`

Uhm, sure, can try other recommended troubleshooting steps and suggestions.....but maybe some other time, e.g., before the next 2021-11-28 BerkeleyLUG meetup(?)

Hope that today's live meetup at Blue Door goes/went well :-)

Yep, BerkeleyLUG JitsiMeet link certainly is the now typo-corrected https://meet.jit.si/BerkeleyLUG

Of course not implying at all that this has anything whatsoever to do with the recent posting "Notice: ns1.svlug.org downtime, DNS secondary", but the https://test.jitsi.org 522: Connection error is still happening and not-yet-completely accounted for (at least on this end).

Completely and totally unrelated.
That impacts exactly nothing beyond DNS on these domains:
balug.org.
sf-lug.org.
berkeleylug.com.
e.9.1.0.5.0.f.1.0.7.4.0.1.0.0.2.ip6.arpa.
sf-lug.com.
sflug.org.
sflug.com.
sflug.net.
sf-lug.net.
and even at that, negligible impact, and already been dealt with,
and of course whatever else ns1.svlug.org. was secondary/slave for,
or primary/master, and likely also "of course" SVLUG.org. itself
and www.SVLUG.org (still in DNS - but as far as I'm aware that
server remains down thus far).

Not sure where/how test.jitsi.org came into this.
I see close to nothing on The Internet making mention of it.

https://berkeleylug.com/meetings/
gives: https://meet.jit.si/BerkeleyLUG
And at least at present in DNS ...:
$ dig +noall +answer +nottl meet.jit.si. A meet.jit.si. AAAA | sort -u
meet-jit-si-latency.cloud.jitsi.net. IN A 13.248.156.98
meet-jit-si-latency.cloud.jitsi.net. IN A 76.223.28.75
meet-jit-si-latency.cloud.jitsi.net. IN AAAA
2600:1f18:134:3a01:ad68:396b:7e8f:2fb7
meet-jit-si-latency.cloud.jitsi.net. IN AAAA
2600:1f18:134:3a02:e957:6a9:6e8f:573c
meet.jit.si. IN CNAME meetjitsi.cloud.jitsi.net.
meetjitsi.cloud.jitsi.net. IN CNAME meet-jit-si-latency.cloud.jitsi.net.
$
So, I don't see test.jitsi.org in there anywhere.

Anyway, at the meeting, I noticed Tom was having dropouts/reconnects
with BlueDoor's Wi-Fi. So, I tried and used CalVisitor Wi-Fi ...
signal may not be as strong, but I got zero dropouts from it, and
it's also got IPv6, and I found it to have ample available bandwidth.

So, from whence did one get test.jitsi.org ?

Jitsi Meet was crashing for me on Chrome on Android on so-called
"smart" phone.
But I've had that before ... haven't really done any testing to isolate
that issue/cause ... might be as limited as that one exact instance of
that phone ... or not. Had worked on there before - some months ago -
exact same phone and site.

All DNS domains affected by the commencement of ns1.svlug.org downtime
(the domains listed upthread, for which the host did secondary DNS as a
courtesy), were apprised promptly, and presumably have now taken
appropriate measures.

Yes, I'm more than a bit bemused at the notion that a Linode virthost
getting shut down for redesign and rebuild somehow being related to
Jitsi Meet connection problems and something-I-don't-know-what about
test.jitsi.org.

In addition, am just curious......
How many persons physically located in the East Bay but not at Cafe Blue Door Sunday ended up virtually participating in BerkeleyLUG's  Jit.si Meet session that day via https://meet.jit.si/BerkeleyLUG?

And for the sole purpose of possibly isolating own reported Jit.si Meet connection issue above, How many of you reading this besides myself -- physically located in the East Bay but *not* at Cafe Blue Door itself for Sunday's live meetup -- may have also unsuccessfully attempted to join the virtual meetup?

Aaron:

I was in the East Bay and was able to get in, but had a great deal of trouble getting in, had audio problems during the whole session and got kicked off a couple of times.
