Here is some information from one of our software developers, to another user having trouble getting THERM to run, also running Windows 11 (which shouldn't matter, we are running WINDOW on Windows 11)
Sorry for the problems you are having. We've had a small number of users recently who have been having what sounds like a similar problem. We're not quite sure why at the moment but do have a couple things to try.
First could you please verify that you have installed the x86 version of the libraries installed? Even though your computer/OS is probably 64bit the applications are 32bit and require the x86 version.
If you have the x86 versions installed and it still doesn't work you can try to copy the required dlls into the directory with the THERM7.exe The downside is I'm not 100% sure about which files are needed. It's at least libmmd.dll, svml_dispmd.dll, and libifcoremd.dll but I don't remember if there are others too. So a safe thing to try first would be to copy all of the dlls in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Intel\Shared Libraries\redist\ia32_win\compiler
To
C:\Program Files (x86)\LBNL\THERM7.8
And then see if THERM runs. If it does work you'll need to do the same with WINDOW if you want to use it as well.
Let us know if that works for you or not.
